Barcelona, 10 september 2018.- With an annual growth rate of 15%, the Indian packaging industry is emerging as the fastest-growing sector in the economy of the country, and for the year 2025 it is estimated to reach an annual turnover of 32 billion dollars. Therefore the presence of Mespack at a fair such as PackEx India (Bombay Exhibition Centre, in Mumbai India, from 27 to 29 September), a country in which it has more than 100 machines in operation, will be a new opportunity to strengthen its position in this important market and to publicise their more versatile solutions in flexible packaging (in particular the stand-up pouch with edge cap, a very popular option among their manufacturers).
The Mespack Team in India will attend to its clients at PackEx India together with a H180 FE Machine on display which enables up to 60 pouches with edge cap to be produced per minute. “Designed on the basis of the standards of simplicity and robustness that characterise the Mespack machines, the H-180 is a machine which has been manufactured to produce both flat sachets and stand-up pouches with a capacity of up to 1,500cc for a variety of applications. Thanks to its edge cap, which facilitates the careful dosing of the product, it is ideal for both the food sector (creams and soups in powder form) as well as for cosmetics and home care products (detergents and dishwasher products)”, Santi Alberich, Director of Marketing for the company, explains.
Likewise, Mespack will take advantage of their presence at the Fair to strengthen the communication of innovations such as the company’s new laser cutting solution (recently developed with MACSA ID) which involves a considerable saving in costs, as it allows one single machine to get the work of three others done: “The new laser cutting system, allows you to cut and code at a single point, which involves fewer components and less maintenance time and cost. In addition, it significantly reduces downtime, since it does not need matrices (only the sealers need to be changed), thus, reducing the time needed to make format changes”, Alberich adds. Additionally, it is a machine that helps to reduce waste, since it does not require cutting matrices for the manufacture of pouches with rounded or shaped edges, thereby reducing leftover materials.
Technology with high added value
In addition to being sustainable, Mespack equipment stands out above its Asian low cost competitors, due to its most modern technologies offering higher efficiency and speed. An added value the company will reinforce at its stand at PackEx India: “Innovation is in our DNA. We are constantly working with our engineers to improve the safety and performance of our machines and offer modern and versatile equipment to our customers, with whom we share a strong commitment. Likewise, as we have a branch in that region, we are able to offer our key account customers in Asia an agile and fast support service, something very appreciated in countries such as India, where the long distances make a difference. We provide a maintenance and spare parts service at a local level, and with our participation at PackEx India, we hope to convey this proximity to our customers once again”, concludes the company’s Director of Marketing.
Mespack will be present at stand E01 in Hall 1 of PackEx India.
