Barcelona, 10 september 2018.- The PPMA Show will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year from 25 to 27 September in the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England, where the latest innovations will be on display in intelligent manufacturing, processing technology and packaging machinery designed to increase the efficiency of the production line and improve the performance and profitability of the business. Thus, the event will become an ideal platform for Mespack’s flexible packaging solutions. The company will take advantage of its presence at the fair to publicise the latest additions to its portfolio, such as the new laser cutting solution.
“The British market is a mature market in which the manufacturers expect top performance from their packaging machines and, thanks to the new laser solution we now offer, they will be able to benefit from considerable savings in maintenance and supplies, in addition to a wide range of flexibility”, explains Santi Alberich, Director of Marketing at Mespack.
The new laser cutting system, developed in collaboration with MACSA ID, enables cutting and coding to be done at one single point and with just one machine (in the past several were required), thereby involving fewer components and less maintenance time. In addition, as it doesn’t need moulds, the time taken to make changes to the format is reduced, especially for manufacturers who package different shapes, “all they have to do is change the sealers”, highlights Alberich. The head of marketing for the company adds that this solution also significantly reduces costs, “thanks to the reduction of waste and downtime of the machine”.
A strategic location
In addition, apart from informing customers of the new features, the presence of Mespack at The PPMA SHOW will be a new opportunity for the company to reinforce its contact with its key account customers in the United Kingdom as well as strengthen links with Springvale Equipment, its representative in the area.
“Currently, the British market is one of the most dynamic of the European continent and a strategic location for us, given that we have more than thirty references with machines in operation producing stand-up pouches and stick packs there. So, our presence at the fair will help us to consolidate and maintain our level of deployment in the UK, especially in the pet food, pharmaceutical products, packaging for large multinationals and confectionery sectors which use packaging in shaped pouches, with zippers, side or top spout/caps, among other formats”, concludes Alberich.
Mespack will be present at stand A83 in Hall 5 of The PPMA show.
