  • Mespack’s virtual reality headsets triumph at Agroprodmash 2018(current)
The Duravant Group company had a positive experience in its visit to the Russian event, where its augmented reality headsets allowed it to chalk up an industry first by exhibiting two of the fastest machines from its range 360º stereoscopic vision.
The manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions connected with 35 high quality leads at Agroprodmash, where it was also able to promote its Series H machines for medium-sized producers.

Barcelona, 15 October 2018.- Mespack offered a very positive valuation at the conclusion of its participation in Agroprodmash 2018, the most important event in Russia for the food processing industry. During five intense days (8-12 October) the manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions made all its extensive know-how available to the fair’s visitors, along with its most recent innovation: augmented reality headsets which allow the wearer to see two of the largest machines from its range in 360º stereoscopic vision, as if they were physically in the building.

“We are extremely pleased,” said Santi Alberich, the company’s Marketing Director, summing up the company’s visit to the Russian event. “On the one hand, we fulfilled our objective of strengthening our presence in this market where at the moment we have 65 machines in operation, and on the other, we have been able to explore new possibilities and gather 35 high-quality leads,” he said.

In that sense, the virtual reality headsets have been very useful. “Thanks to them, we were able to show our customers two HFFS machines (intermittent and continuous) without needing to have them physically at the event. This first experiment has been a great success and will help us to improve our presence at future fairs and ensure that the visitor has a truly unique experience with our machines,” said the company’s Marketing Director.

The machines that visitors were able to see in augmented reality at Agroprodmash 2018 were the H540 FE6, for the production of baby food, which has a throughput of 300-360 sachets per minute with top anti-choke spout and the HCM 420 FET, Mespack’s continuous packaging solution for the high-volume production of large-format pouches. “Although the productivity of these machines exceeds the requirements of our customers in this market, it has allowed us to display the solutions that Mespack can offer with its machines, which can be adapted to the required patterns of production,” commented Alberich.

Medium-sized producers

Bearing in mind that almost half of Mespack’s customers in the Russian market are medium-sized producers for whom the versatility of the machines and their ease of operation are very important, the Duravant Group subsidiary used the Moscow event above all to reinforce its publicity for its Series H machines. “We have promoted our H130, H140 and H180 machines in particular because they offer everything our customers are asking for: plenty of flexibility and the scope to produce different formats and packaging sizes after simply making some small adjustments,” said Alberich.

Given its success at Agroprodmash 2018, Mespack is already planning to expand its participation in next year’s edition of this key fair for the markets in Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union by including a physical machine on its stand.
